Food & Drink Innovation Network ? SNACK-A-JACKS LAUNCHES ...

March 2nd, 2012

Snack-a-Jacks is extending its Jumbos range with the launch of a new Milk Chocolate and Coconut flavour.

The introduction to the UK follows the success of the variant in the Netherlands where it has sold in excess of 2.8 million units.

Snack-a-Jacks is seeing substantial growth and is looking to attract a further 300,000 households to the brand.

The Jumbos range, currently growing +9.4% year-on-year (YOY), aims to bolster this growth in brand penetration with the new sweet flavour.

The new Chocolate and Coconut Jumbos flavour aims to appeal to both male and female consumers who are looking for permissible, sweet snacking treats that balance health with taste.

Research shows that 40% of all Snack-a-Jacks Jumbos are consumed with a hot drink in replacement of a sweet biscuit for those who snack in moderation but are not dieting.

PepsiCo Group Marketing Manager, George Eapen, said: ?The new Milk Chocolate and Coconut Jumbos flavour tastes great and is set to drive incremental sales from loyal Snack a Jacks consumers with the addition of the product to our increasingly successful Snack-a-Jacks brand which is up 4.1% YOY.?

The new Chocolate and Coconut Jumbos flavour will be available from 19 March 2012 ? RSP ?1.75, 180g bag ? and will join the existing Snack-a-Jacks Jumbos range which includes Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Salt & Vinegar, Barbecue and Cheese flavours.
