Dropbox simplifies file sharing to those without a Dropbox account.
For whatever reason, Dropbox continues to make announcements about sharing files with anyone using links. The file storage startup just sent out an email this morning branding the sharing of links as Dropbox Links, but the feature was officially announced last April and, as I can attest by having used it , has been available for many years.
Dropbox Links?let you share files or folders (of any size) with anyone, even if they?re not using Dropbox
Sharing files is a huge pain ? you have to compress, attach, upload, and a bunch of other verbs that are a waste of your time. Forget that! We just invented the best way to get stuff from your computer to the rest of the world.

How to Share Files or Folders of Any Size with Anyone Using Dropbox Links
To share a link using Dropbox.com, hover over a file or folder to show the ?Share link? icon.
To share a link using the Dropbox desktop version, right-click on a file or folder to show the menu. Click on Dropbox and then click ?Share link.?
To share a link using the Dropbox mobile app, click on the ?Share link? icon in the bottom left corner of the screen of a file or folder.
