Today's featured workspace has a secret. While it looks like just another desk built from an Ikea bookcase (spacious, though, and with lots of room for organizing), hidden beneath the hinged desktop you'll find sound mixing equipment and a huge whiteboard.
The whiteboard is actually the back of the surface top. Flickr user Carel Starreveld's Ikea-hacked desk is pretty cleverly constructed, both with the added concealed compartment and how the top is built to lift up without harming the wall-mounted monitor. Carl says this is a standing desk with the possibility for sitting too.
If you have a workspace of your own to show off, post them to #workspaceshowcase. Make sure any photos you include are at least 640x360. Keeping them to 16:9 helps, too! Include a little text about the stuff you used, how you came up with the design, and any other relevant details. If your clever organization and good design sense catches our eye, you might be the next featured workspace.
